USBCell

The AA NiMH recharageable batteries from USBCell are just like any others with one small exception: you can recharge them in a USB port. I think this is a great idea.

Because the batteries themselves can be plugged into a USB port, you no longer need a recharging station. You can pick up 2 AA batteries for $15 at Amazon.

Looks like they are working on making cellphone batteries which would be even better. No need for a cellphone recharger, you could just plug it into your laptop's USB port and you are good to go.

I think USB is great in that it allows for both power and data to be transferred, and the plugs are a nice size that can easily be inserted and removed. They work much better than the old serial cables or even standard electrical plugins. It makes you wonder how long until electrical wall sockets will also include USB ports to recharge your iPod, cellphone or digital camera.
